I have a blueprint of the perfect guy for me. Are you ready? Okay.

He is over six feet tall. When he walks, he glides. It’s usually a dark wash of Levi’s and a clean t-shirt that greets him in the morning. He doesn’t brush his hair, he smoothes with his fingers as he walks down the stairs to his kitchen. He doesn’t drink coffee, and encourages everyone to drink more tea. He pours himself a cup and pulls on a dark grey cardigan and sits. His dog waits for him quietly next to him. It’s an alaskan husky, or a blue pitbull. Sometimes his socks don’t match but he figures no one will notice. He slips on his Vans and he takes the train to work. He has a job he loves. He can be a writer, photographer, graphic designer, or even a computer nerd with a title. It doesn’t matter as long as he is happy.

He’ll text me only when he misses me and not because he feels he has to. He will make me laugh without having to try to. His smile will be warming and I will have no problem with jealousy because his eyes will never wander. He will bring soup to my house when I’m sick and even when I’m not. Phone calls will be short because he’ll try to be next to me as long as he needs to. He looks good in a suit, and doesn’t mind when he makes mistakes. His presence will make others happy and he will have a family that makes me feel at home. The fights will be short and pointless but he likes when I get angry so he’ll get me mad just for the laughs. He makes funny faces and tries not to care about what others think. He will express his feelings with passion and hope. His eyes will tell me more than his lips have to. He doesn’t have pajamas but he will wear them if I bought him some.
